5DIV Battery life

Here is a refreshing post!! I have had my 5DIV for about a month. I love it, I felt like the reviews were ok, not all that exciting. But I have to say it's a huge step up from my III and I love the results I'm getting!

So the good news? I have had very good luck with battery life! I was paranoid about this, so I keep taking extra charged batteries and haven't needed them unexpectedly. I went through two batteries on a long landscape shoot, but that wasn't a surprise. I don't feel like my IV is using batteries any faster than my III.

Just thought it would be fun to post something positive about the battery!

That's good to know - I've had my m4 for a couple of months, also upgrading from the m3 (and m2 before that !) So far, my batteries are not lasting like they did in the m3 and I'm really hoping they will improve...

The battery in the 5D4 wont last as long as in the 5D3, but ive not found it to be too bad. I do tend to take a spare with me now, and i have needed to change a couple of times (never did with my 5D3), but overall im not too disappointed.

I was in barcleona few weeks ago and when i was doing some filming, the battery life did not last long. on par with a Sony Mirrorless if you ask me

I wasn't doing any video, and I had GPS and wifi off. So maybe that's why I got such good life out of my battery. That, and my expectations were fairly low!

I find the mk IV battery life similar to previous version. My only issue is when I shoot sports the higher frame rate makes me take more photos per instance so I ran out of battery earlier as I took a lot more shots in the same amount of time...
