As a very amateur photographer, I was pleased to get a 4th place with this photo

Congrats. Very nice shot.

Nice shot.

Great light and composition.

Is it true there is a pub nearby where you can have a fifth at Firth of Forth?

Congratulations, very nice photo.

Good shot. Thanks for posting.

I think the bridge can do with a lick of paint, or don't they paint it anymore?

Peter in Canada.

Thanks. I couldn't get any closer, but the little 9-18mm is very versatile.

As the Chinese say: Jolly good show!

It's refreshing now and then to see enthusiasm from someone "learning the trade" instead of the recrimination of people obsessed/dissatisfied with their gear...

And well deserved...excellent shot. Where was this taken?
That's the famous Firth of Forth Rail Bridge in Scotland. Great shot, congratulations!
And as I recall from my 2014 trip to Edinburgh, they plan to replace the two present bridges crossing the Firth of Forth with - you guessed it - the Third Firth of Forth bridge... Try to say that after a pint or two laddie!

I can't even say it now!

Another quote I like on this subject is " I'm an atheist, thank God!"... :-)

Nice photo, but isn't that the bridge (or predecessor) that collapsed, revealing lack of testing and research, much like the Comet debacle much later, that proved lack of that country's engineering ability?

Well, as it's eventually to be replaced by the Third Firth of Forth bridge...

Anyway, here in Montréal, we know all about having to replace bridges. :-(
