Is the 2.5mm mic plug a major hassle with the xt20?

I noticed the mic plug is the non standard size on the XT20? Is anyone using theirs with a mic? Is it a hassle? Are they any other major limitations to the video/audio capeabilities?
 
I have a small 3.5 to 2.5mm adapter cable on my mic. It's no problem at all.

I am with the Grumpy Rocker on this one, talked up on blogs, but not really a problem.

I use the Hosa Technology GMP-467 - Right Angle Adapter and it works great, you can order it from B&H.
 
There is not much space if you want to try to jam an hdmi (micro) cable in there with the mic adapter. I have not yet found an adapter and cable that can fit in together in the xt20. I think I am going to stick with external audio.
 
Most external mic's come with a 3.5mm male plug. Here is what I use to get to work with a 2.5mm camera plugin. The right angle is a big plus to keep it from extending way out from the camera body:
