I've got serious issues with the local Panasonic dealership in my country. They just don't care about the camera division. The last lens they bothered importing was the 100-400. No import of the PL12/1.4, 100-300ii, 12-35ii and 35-100ii. Prices are stuck at launch pricing (eg 1100e for the 7-14/4). There is extremely limited availability on the market, their website hasn't been updated since 2010 or something etc.

I'm talking with various retailers and they're all absolutely fed up with them as well. They telling me they're not answering the phone, not supplying products, they just don't seem to be interested in selling anything.

Anyway, enough ranting. I've contacted them by mail and phone myself too and they never answered the mail. On the phone they told me to bug off essentially, they don't talk to customers directly; fair enough. So, I've had it.

I decided to at least report this behavior to the official Panasonic and file a complaint. I can't imagine how they'd be happy with this kind of representation anywhere in the world. Maybe they'll actually do something about it.

Either way, I can't seem to find any way to contact them directly. All their contact info points to the local dealership, which is obviously a dead end. Anybody knows how to get in touch with them? Or can recommend any course of action that hopefully doesn't involve "social" media?

Step 1: Fly to Japan.

Step 2: Find out where the CEO lives...

They want you to buy into them and when you did all you have to say or ask does not really matter.

I press "line 2" on my red phone in my bunker. I got Pentax on line 1...

Funny. I don't want to talk to the CEO on the phone though. A simple email address to their marketing department or something would do.

Yes, I'm getting this feeling more and more every day. I was about to drop a serious amount of money to get fully invested in the system, but this whole deal stopped me. Not that I could anyway, considering the items I want are not even available officially here, nevermind getting any support for them. This is bad.

I can't help but greatly sympathize with your frustration.

I have been trying for some days now to sort out a failed delivery of an SD card from Curry's in the UK which apparently has been lost by my local sorting office in SLOUGH -UK , despite being recorded as being received & made ready for delivery on the 24th April.

It is very difficult to find Phone numbers as they want to use 0n-line computer inquiry systems. If you are lucky & eventually find a phone number you have to listen to Robots who give you limited response options.

When are companies going to realize that they are annoying & alienating their paying customers who have the option of going elsewhere?

I had a cardiac arrest just over a week ago & trying to avoid another one but it very difficult to exercise patience.

Apparently Panasonic has a weak network in Greece and IIRC India is the same story and even if you purchased the equipment you wanted their service if needed will most likely be just as bad. I suggest that you look at Olympus if you want a m43 kit.

Yes, that much is obvious, but still, are they aware how bad they're represented? Do they even care? I can't believe that they offer no way in their official global websites to reach them and provide feedback.

For all I know, they may have no clue what's going on. And there's a pretty big mft community in said countries that has to resort to gray imports or switch systems. All this effort they put in creating this equipment getting wasted by bad associates. Thankfully Olympus is doing quite a bit better here, so there's hope for the system, but Panasonic is unbelievable.

Have you tried doing some research other than asking others?

Searching Panasonic product manager in LinkedIn yields in 6400+ hits. You can narrow the search by region. Plenty of Panasonic staff to personally contact.

I'm one of those people that never ask before exhausting all other options. So yes, I did research to the extent of my ability. If there's some embarrassingly obvious email address that somehow eluded me, please do tell. I won't take offense.

I was contacted privately and given some phone numbers in Japan that I could reach them at, but I'm obviously not going to do that. So, it seems there's no global email address to contact them in a civilized manner. There might be a way by making a spectacle on facebook or twitter or something, but I think I'd rather switch brands instead.

Buy from the UK, Panny prices there have always been good and there is plenty of choice

I had the same problem getting in touch with Panasonic hq in Canada. No response to emails. So I send an old fashioned letter to the Prez and got a phone call to follow up on the letter I send complaining in regards to their lack of service for their cameras. At least they responded. Haven't got my camera back yet, but now at least I am hopeful.

Facebook or twitter is actually the *best* way to get a response - because it's public, you can guarantee someone will reply, at least with an email address or a number to call and discuss further..... no need to create a huge fuss, just find the panasonic home facebook page (for japan, not the local country distributor) and post politely that you've had a problem with the local distributor and would like to talk to someone. 10 minutes effort, worth a try, surely?
