My d4 does not power on. I have tried numerous fully charge batteries. Anything else I should try before I send it to Nikon?

Thank you.

Is the battery charger working correctly? Check battery contacts, are any LCD displays working? if you Have the external power supply you could try that, there's not a great deal unless some damage or something missing in battery compartment.

If you're comfortable the charger is operating properly, verify that the issue is the entire camera being dead and not just the displays. If it's actually the displays then a 2 button reset might do something, but I'm inclined to doubt it.

I am inclined to think you're looking at a trip to the service center.

My guess is a faulty on-0ff switch. Bought a new one and returned it because of this !

Try flicking it about a bit :)

Top LCD should still show something?

Aaah yes... very true !

Other than cleaning the contacts ? Also try removing battery cover and fixing it back on then slap it back in.

I am thinking maybe something simple causing a misalignment ! Like battery end cap not fitted correctly or loose. Even something stuck on the battery itself that could cause a misalignment !

You have all given me some good ideas and I will try them all. The displays are all completely dead....thanks for your suggestions.
