Birding with the 105mm Macro...

Jealous of jrdigitalart's captures I set out to see what I could do,

... but my triumph was this shot of two rare herons, The white female (NOT an egret) has lived nearby for some years but this spring she has been joined by a grey heron mutation (?) of indeterminate s*x. Let's hope they'll be happy.........

nice shooting George: Thanks for sharing. I have done some birding with the 105 macro while out shooting flowers and it was the only lens I had with me. Here is a shot of a mallard hens who seem to be curious about me shooting lily pads and flowers. The 105 macro does a good job at close in biding. ;)
