Disappointed with X-A3, samples included

I loved the A1 and the A2. The A3 does have issues.
That may well be true, but from what I can tell, your photos don't demonstrate anything that couldn't be fixed with appropriate camera settings.
are you hinting that there might be an element of user error involved?

Without wanting to sound rude, yes, that is what I suspect.

You obviously haven't dealt with the OP very much. Let's just say he's more of a gear collector (perpetual G.A.S.) than he is a photographer.

You bought a camera that shoots RAW. Use it, convert to 16-bit tiff with Fuji's converter and process that in whatever suits you, even free FastStone. Take a course and learn about focus and lighting. The attached is a few second process in FastStone.

Lowered highlights boosted low light.

I'm loving my X-A3. Great camera, with none of these issues.

Thank you. I don't always use a 56, but it is my favorite for sure. Here is one with the 35 f2.

I like to shoot in natural light only, so I don't use a flash, but the X-A3 has a small one if I ever want a little fill.

i tested it with a Fuji 27mm 2.8 prime the pancake

Auto setting, jpegs OOC

I found the camera chose ISOs that were 1600 and 3200 often, even close to windows in the afternoon sun

I was dissapointed that half the pictures were not in focus with the touch shutter on Auto

Some pictures had too high an ISO like 3200 and too low an s speed like 1/12s

Outdoors pictures were great with great colors

Indoors the high ISOs were accompanied with faces that were too bright

I was expecting an ISO/speed behavior that was reasonable that one could trust

The camera kept making noises focusing for seconds after a picture. Eventually they died down even with camera movement, until the next picture

Feels cheaper than the A1 and the A2

the dog picture is with fill flash

Fast forward to 2018. I just got an X-A3 and experienced overexposure issues indoors and also in low light. Camera thinks there is insufficient light and chooses slow shutter and high iso: resulting in noisy motion blurred pictures. This is worse than the GF1 i got in 2008. I have to adjust to -2 ev to get it right sometimes. Way off if u ask me.
