Looks like a good start.

What are you using for post processing? There are probably things you could do to pull up the shadows and add a bit of color and detail in the rocks on the side.

A better step when you took the shot would have been to use an ND filter instead of stopping down to F22... I'm guessing you were trying for a long exposure to smooth out the water a bit, but F22 loses a lot of detail to diffraction. At 32mm you could have had plenty of depth of field at F11, or so, and not lost much to diffraction.

I am using capture one pro for processing new to it so will take time to get good at processing my pictures. Yes wanted to slow the shutter speed to smooth the water. I have not gotten a chance to pick up filters to fit the lens yet i am thinking of picking up LEE Filters Seven5 Deluxe Kit.

You have picked a good time of day to shoot.

Don't use ISO50 (or any of ISOs in extended range). The native base ISO for your camera is ISO100. While I also suggest not using f/22 I don't think its the end of world either ;)

But still your picture looks a bit flat. You need to recover a bit of highlights and shadows. Perhaps boost the contrast a little. Also I am not quite sure about your composition. Either a more zoomed in field of view or a wider field of view with a bit of foreground would have worked better.

But the most important thing is keep shooting and keep practicing. Good luck with your new camera.

Just my 2p :)

It might be interesting to see this with both the smoothed water effect AND the natural water. My personal feeling is that the natural water has detail and motion that enhances many photographs, and I feel this is one where it might work better.
