Anyone using USB based chargers for EN-EL15?

why not a cigarette lighter charger? would think it would be a lot faster than USB which only push 5 Volts?

I have one I keep in my car just in case. I used it only to see that it worked and showed charging, so I am not sure how long it actually takes to charge a flat battery, but would think its as fast as the wall since out put is the same

this one may be better, even has usb port you can use for phone if needed and a display

I'd like to have a charger in the car. Is there anyone using one of those chargers that can be charged from USB? I understand it can be slower to charge. Other than that is there any other disadvantages?

Yes, I do. I carry it as a second 'spare' charger when travelling. Last year I was off grid for and used it to charge in-car via a cigarette lighter 2.4A USB adapter. Also off of USB 5V power packs. I find it very useful and only marginally slower that Nikon's own charger. I find it very handy as USB 5V supplies are so common now.
