Hi

The LX100 ticks all my requirements apart from the lack of a viewfinder. I would be grateful if people could share their experiences of using this camera in bright sunny conditions. I like to be able to compose my shots rather than just point the camera in right direction and hope for the best!

I really like the Sony RX100's viewfinder but prefer LX100 (Cheaper, easier menus, touchscreen, brighter through zoom range etc). I need some help on this one please.

Going on holiday soon, so need to buy ASAP so I can dig into the manual before I go!!!!

Thx

the lx100 does have an evf ..

Or are you getting mixed up with the lx10 ?

Yep!!! Meant to type LX10, but typed LX100 in error!!!

I'll start a new thread as I cannot edit this one :-(

Check out a ClearViewer: attaches to the tripod socket; folds against the LCD when not in use; unfolds to make the LCD a virtual EVF. Can fold down to allow the LCD to swivel up

I think a Clear Viewer and the tilting LCD of the LX10 is not the best solution. I works fine with a fixed LCD.

Agreed. It would be awkward. But perhaps you don't have as much sun as we have, to wash out the LCD
