NR action now downloadable

To all those who have waited, I apologize for it and thank you for
your patience. Between work and personal life this summer I have
not had alot of time to even shoot, much less respond to dozens of
e-mails everyday.

I have recieved quite a few requests from members of this forum,
though the original offerings were made by myself on the Oly SLR
forum. I'm posting this here because of that.

Anyway, the action is now available for download on the following
site.

Many thanks to Danny, webmaster of Canonians, for his generous
offer and great work on the site and NR action page.

I hope it proves to be useful to your workflow.

Warm regards,
D.

Go to this web site to download a free tool. It should work.

I get asked this question many times. Unfortunately, the answer at
present is no. I am however, in association with several other
more knowledgeable persons, trying presently to create an action
(Recipe) for Elements that will be compatible with it, though it's
functionality can't be guaranteed.
If and when this becomes possible, I'll be sure to post it here as
well.

Hi Jarrell,

I tried running the action on a duplicate layer, and I got errors. Do you rename the layer or anything. The action works well on my file if I have not made a layer. How do you do it. I am running Photoshop 7.01. Thanks,

Does anyone know if you can use photoshop actions in paint shop pro 8?

BTW, this is fantastic. I ran it and compared it to what neat image did, and much prefer the way this action cleaned things up.

Thanks again for sharing with everyone. :-)

David,

Just discovered this and tried it before dashing off to get a plane, so will experiment more in a couple of days. On the sample I ran it against it was truly amazing - many thanks for this.

One question though. What are the downsides to always taking the most aggressive option? Would seem to me that getting rid of as much noise as possible would always be the desired result?

Thanks again.
