Hi,

Since Sequator was published, I have got many positive responses here. I prepared 2 new features on Sequator 1.3, one is for starry-sky landscape, the other is for advanced astrophotography.

The first is "irregular mask" of sky region. If you shoot landscape with complex foreground, this function can be used to identify the sky region more precisely. So that the stacking to be better.

This option assumes you hope to stack sky and reserve the sharp foreground as well. So gradient zone of stacking will be automatically determined. Using with "Freeze ground" mode, you will get both high quality sky and foreground.

The other new feature is "Align only" in the stacking mode.

I always try to keep Sequator simple and friendly. So I strictly chose most effective features, and hope it is intelligent to save users' time from boring trials. However, it may be not sufficient for advanced users. Some may prefer other sophisticated software, some may write stacking program by themselves. Now Sequator can only do efficient alignment for you.

The "Align only" function will dump aligned images into the output folder in 16-bit TIFF format. By default they will be in linear for your convenience for post processing. If you only want to manually review the alignment results, you can also dump them to tone-curve-adjusted format.
