Fuji RAW files

Hi, I'm considering Fuji but want someone to clear this for me.

I've read online that if you’re shooting a Fuji camera with an X-Trans sensor a third-party program is all but necessary.

May I ask why? Is Lightroom not doing its job?

DxO's supported cameras says it does not support any Fujji X cameras (drop down menu).

Actual working photographers generally have few issues with LR's conversion of the RAFs, and use it because LR is fantastic at everything else.

It`s iridient Xtransformer for me since trying it out and then into camera raw in PS for the finals. no problems at all

Hey there,

Lightroom is doing just fine when it comes to opening and editing Fuji RAW files. I expect they will improve the Adobe Camera Raw engine even more over time, especially in light of the new X Trans III sensor coming to market in so many Fuji bodies. If you are looking for the very best RAW convertor for Fuji files, there are others available, but for workflow, I would say Lightroom is more than good enough. :)
