Robotized Panoramic Head for Coolpix 9xx

Trés bon, Philippe!!!

Must admit that I've always had a secret desire to buy Legos, having grown up long before they were available. Now you have given me the proper excuse.

The question is, how to I tell my wife that I want Legos for Christmas?

What parts do you need and do you have the instructions anywhere?
Thomas,

It is all on his Web site. He even redesigned the device to use a single Lego kit, rather than odd bits and pieces that the first model used.

Cheers,

Tyler

Philippe,

This is brilliant. My son got Lego Mindstorms last Christmas. Here's a project that combines his hobby and mine. We plan to build your panaramic head this weekend for my 950. Thanks for all the plans. I'm also excited about the potential for time lapse photography and maybe adding a sensor for a remote shutter release. Thanks again, this is very exciting. I'll certainly be watching your website for other great ideas.

Would it be possible to modify the software so it could be used for
time lapse photography?

Thanks,

Tyler, she will probably do like every other wife, and say "boys and their toys" :-)

I do love the idea though, it's great fun and Lego is proving that they don't just think in square's!

I think I'll have to visit Legoland in Denmark again... was 25 years ago last time.

Philippe, please post some images your little robot has taken. Would be fun to see!

Shaun,

Glad someone builds my PanoBot !

Maybe the most difficult will be to have your son lend you his legos ! I know how it is since the Mindstorms kit actually belongs to my daughter ;o)

iMovie didn't have a plugin for Macintosh and the Java applet doesn't work too well with Netscape (yes I know I'm all trouble). Have you tried to make a QuickTime VR movie?
