You're expecting Fuji to bend to will of the few when Leica already makes exactly what you want. You're wanting Ferrari to make a Ford Escort when Ford already makes one.
The likelihood of Fuji bending to your will and making the specific camera you want at the expense of their own market share and profitability is as likely as you starting your own company and manufacturing the camera you want.
Since you seem unwilling to buy the Leica which already exists and has the features you want without all the features you don't, and which you say you have the means to pay for, I'm left thinking you're just trying to be provocative and/or trolling.
You can't call someone a troll or provocative because they see things differently.
But you can if you those comments are simply intended to stir the pot rather than add to the discussion. Many of your comments have been right on the edge of that. It's an interesting and lively discussion, so as mods, we've left it alone, but this comment isn't as far off base as you suggest.
I worry also for the people who agreed with your comments. DP review has become a place for tech idiots.....ok I get that. It was never like that before.
Well, I've been hanging around here for 13+ years or so and the development of technology in support of photography has always been front and center. What's made it interesting is the depth of photographic experience and talent that has participated here over the years. And being a photographer who also happens to be interested in the technology surrounding it, doesn't make that person an "idiot." But given your penchant for talking in extremes, this comment doesn't surprise me.
It was a cool place to be involved with during the development of digital photography. I guess not now. I am not surprised the English bloke who created the site sold it on to Amazon. LOL. Buy, Buy, Buy.
Gee, if it bothers you so much, one wonders why you're still here stirring the pot. I'm sure you're going to think that I'm "over moderating" here, and perhaps you're right. But as a long time participant with DPR, I felt that your comments deserved a more pointed response.
