I would have liked to see a couple of c/u shots of the construction. Those cast iron bridges and whatnots (e.g. railway stations!) are wonderful. Looks as though they will last for ever.

I did have a poke around close up, but there wasn't anything that immediately appealed to me. To get directly underneath you would have to be on the water.

This part of the country - world - has many pioneering cast iron bridges, beginning with the world's first, opened in 1791 at Ironbridge, over the river Severn. Chepstow's old bridge, just a few miles downstream from Bigsweir, has just celebrated its bicentenary;

Another fine set with the last a clear winner for me. Were you staying in that lodge we've seen a few times? Looks amazing.

And how do you find the 12-40 on the Pen F? Considering buying one myself rather than paying double for an em1-2.

A nice local vibe to these. It's a lovely bridge. And apparently there's no village at Bigsweir.

How very street. That's one of the things that attracts me to a larger sensor, the ability to crop to these scene-within-a-scene shots.

Both good shots.

Brrr - I hope you wrapped up. Fine shot.

Already said I love these. Do prefer the second in colour though.

Pretty enough. I give it another four weeks ;-)

Very pretty. Needs a nice church or summat in the silhouette rather than telecom poles though. Useful for sandwich shots.

Aw, now I feel all Christmassy again.

I'm not a fan of voyeuristic shots shots of abuse. There's clearly been a blade used here.

Yeah, I bet that was tricky to print and make it not look underexposed.

How do you know its ears are male?

That's pretty. Have you squashed it into a square? The stones are a weird (but attractive) shape.

Fine shot with just the right amount of blur. And who could resist a title like that?
