How do I add a subfolder to my Albums?

Want to consolidate various albums of same subject into one album but retain the original album names as subfolder.

Quick look on Google hasn't led me to answer other than maybe an app is needed.

2 months new to android and my tab s2.

Just use any filemanager app. I use FX, but there are many other. There may be already one on your device.

Found the tablets device manager , now to see if it will do what I want to do.

Bear in mind that your subfolders probably are specific to that device. You likely won't be able to see them from your computer (if you connect your device to your computer), and it's also likely that when you upgrade to a new device, all of the transferred photos will be lumped into a single folder.

The Android photo system is designed for image capture, not long-term storage. It pretty much assumes that assumes that photos are only stored temporarily, until they can be moved off to more permanent storage. Not to say that many of us don't keep a ton of photos on our devices -- but I, for one, am realistic about the lack of "permanence" of the photos and their folder structures on the device.

On my Note 5, I have heaps of folders and subfolders. If I tap on a folder, then go to "More" on the top right and then just tap on "Create folder". As I don't have a memory card slot on my phone as my previous one, I have created a folder "SD Card" where there are heaps of subfolders from the "SD Card" on my previous phone.

Still haven't figured this trick out. If one can.

So used to pcs and the create subfolder and drag and drop/ copy and paste game

And now I see 2 folders I created wandered off to dcim.

I may just do this on the pcs and transfer all over to thetab, hoping subfolders remain.

Going to be -10 for few days so I will have some inside days.

To be continued

I was assuming you and most can find their way around a computer when connecting the device. However and as indicated by several android forums, several users have reported that their computer doesn't always recognize the device.

In my case, when I connect to the computer, the device (LG Rebel) loads within my media player then is listed a a generic drive or folder. From here select the device as listed on your computer then select either the internal or SD card within the drop down.

For instance, opening the all ready created "photo" folder, I'm able to create separate files within the folder and list/label them accordingly. I've not tested how many sub-folder/files can be created or does this matter..

If you need screen shots, let me know, cause I'm willing to post them on my new Android tips/tricks page.
