Your Year 2016 In Review

Gorgeous series Andre. The one in Trolltungen is breathtaking. Miss these views here in Østlandet.

Very nice Sean. The Niagara one is truly amazing.

That's a great set of images. Well done David!!

As always, good exercise to try to pick just 6 from the all 365 days :) This year was a bit different for me than 2015 - I didn't travel as much because my wife was pregnant, and our first baby got born. Important stuff for me, and it's easily seen in the kinds of pictures I was taking:

If I was to name a single most important frame of 2016, it gotta be this one - taken just mere seconds after Helen "got out", with umbilical cord yet not cut, my wife crying, nurse doing all kinds of things very quickly and so on. This is the kind of reportage I like very much too.

Second one is a portrait of myself an my wife two months before Helen got born. One of the very few few I took actually, and also one of my first attempts at studio lightning and all that.

Same people as above, just this time one is out, not in :D

Not travelling, and with my wife being less "mobile" so to speak ;) I had more time at home so I attempted a few autoportraits, and here's one I consider most successful.

I've been shooting quite a lot photos of Helen the last few months. This one I like the most, (however, it's a hard pick as I have few more that I like a lot).

Not to be 100% baby oriented, here's one of only two short trips we took this year. Park Guell in Barcelona.

Fantastic set. Wow.

Thank you Roger. I had a few shots last year that I am very happy with. Nothing as memorable as some of the incredible photographers who make this forum so worthwhile though. Happily, I don't try to compete with them, just enjoy their work and, hopefully, learn from them.

That's the attitude I employ as well - otherwise I'd be depressed all the time! :) All the best in '17 Steve! (I like your second shot best, by the way - colours look like on a painting)

Wonderful collection of images. The ones with the Samyangs are just amazing.

Inspirational landscapes.

Here are some of my favorites from 2016.

First and foremost, it's about capturing the moment regardless of how the pixels look at 100%

Quickly picking from my Flickr...I guess much of the reason they pleased me is about the context when/where they were produced. Most of my shots are of about my family, which I enjoy documenting how they grow up, and I think I´ll continue learning and improving photographing them during 2017.

My first image of 2016:

Lovely images Roger. The second is quite dramatic. Here's hoping for some nice shots in 2017 !
