I bought mine new just B4 X'mas; paid AUD$1700 (~USD$1200). The low price is every indication that Nikon will be replacing the D750 sooner than you think.

I've bought two refurbs from Cameta; both good experiences.
The first camera had an issue about 8 months in - they replaced immediately.

I bought a refurbished one from Adorama, with their VIP360 1 year drop& spill warranty. Great experience with the camera so far, and I highly recommend Adorama. The first body I received had to be exchanged because Nikon QC overlooked a non working main control wheel. (Hard to believe, I know. Isn't that the second thing you touch, after the on-off switch?) Adorama overnighted the replacement body on their dime.
