E-M1 MkII battery performance - comparatively excellent

This thread is weird. There have been several posts suggesting that no one will buy the E-M1 MkII, yet here we have quite a number doing just that. What gives? ;)

quite a conclusion with a thread with about 16 posts, i doubt we'll never actually know the precise amount sold to customers but the sales charts will show how it is performing compared to other brands/systems e.t.c. during it's lifetime
It's quite a reasonable conclusion considering that the camera has just become available. It's certainly a better observation than what you appear to imply, that sales will be pathetic.

And who cares how it sells compared to other brands; if it stands on it's own that's all that matters.

lol this is hilarious, i have implied nothing concerning sales unlike others who seem to think 5 people buying a certain camera then talking about it in a thread on a public forum is a good indication of global sales, without any actual figures we are all guessing

i think you care very much how it sells, your reply shows that immediately :D
You live a life that's far too serious. Simply getting irritated by my post indicates that this subject consumes you to an unhealthy extent. :)
Then again, maybe I consume you to an unhealthy extent? :) :)

And again, comparisons with other brands is a non-issue; as long as it's profitable for Olympus, that's all that matters.
Olympus and profit, not often you see those 2 words in the same sentence lol

This is a very narrow view. In business, market share is often as important as, or more important than, profits.

Not necessarily. Olympus is coming out of a very difficult time, so regaining profitability is a prime concern for the moment. Their market share isn't so bad considering the three gorillas they are up against, but without profit, market share means nothing.

Don't be silly, they'll find something!
I would much prefer the battery, compatible with older bodies, even it that means I would need additional spares. As it is I will have to carry around two sets of batteries and two chargers. Also I prefer to carry a spare in the pocket than heavier battery in the camera.

Perhaps some Chinese entrepreneur will produce an adapter so that older batteries could be used.

My max has been over 2100 with a conservative shooting, so not so much better by amount really. If I would go shoot pure burst for few hours I could come over 3000 easily.
Are you shooting the Mark 1 or the Mark II ?

The battery life on my E-M1 II is a bit better than my E-M5 II, but not by much (in fact I don't have a problem with E-M5 II's battery life). Unfortunately batteries for the E-M1 II don't seem to be available in Oz yet, so I will have to make do without a backup for a little while.

Who have you tried for batteries?

Got confirmation that my E-M1 MkII is being sent to me today from Digital Camera Warehouse. Requested a spare battery to go with grip and that was included no problems.
