I need some advice: I have a Harley Road King and my buddy and I are going to ride from Maine to Reno next summer. I would like to bring my D810 and Tamron 24-70 w/image stabilization. My concern is the excessive vibration from the bike and it's impact on the equipment.
I have no clue as to the mechanical design of the mirror, aperture blades and other moving parts of the lens and camera.
The equipment will be in the top of a tall bag strapped to the passenger backrest so it will have about 24 inches of soft clothing to rest on.
Should I be concerned? Should I look at a mirrorless solution?
I'm sure some of you seriously bounce your equipment around on jeep trails, African safaris, boats, etc.
Any advice would be appreciated....Thanks......Mark
