I love the fantastic good lens of my DP3M, certainly, I don't want to remove it. So, better use SD cameras to mount other kind of lenses.

The vending machines are the sharpest so far, I think.
However, I think a full frame Sony E-mount body such as the A7ii would have given equally good results -- admittedly with a different angle of view. Your images don't seem to have the bite that I am used to seeing from the original DP3M lens.

Not disagreeing because I don't own a DP3 Merrill. However, I do wonder if the possibility of using admittedly softer lenses which are "better" in other ways (contrast, color) might be a "good thing" for some?
These are both good. The lettering ("sound proof canvas") is full Merrill sharpness, I think.Leica R35-70/4
Focussing must be difficult.
