Buydig is also an authorized Nikon reseller. If the price was similar, I'd think I'd go for the refurbished due to that being easier
to get repairs than a grey market version.
If you do buy refurbished, I'd go with a known vendor like Adorama (same price)

I just got my D750 today, refurbished, from Adorama. I have to say I am very pleased and impressed. I am pleased with Adorama's service, as always, never had a bad experience. Impressed with the camera. There was not one speck of dust or smudge I could see and looks brand new. First thing I did was snap a pic and ran it through nikonshuttercount.com . It has a shutter count of 676 . It was also under recall for the flaring and shutter issues, but has a big black dot in the tripod mount screw hole. So I take it this was all fixed.
The only way I could tell it was "slightly used" by someone else, is that the copyright information in the settings had someone's name in it. Which was weird because all the other stuff is reset (like date, time, zone, Area A shooting, set on Auto, etc.). So if your name is LIKE Kevin Matthew D. (i won't spell out the last name) and you had a Nikon D750 give me a holler if you don't mind. Just out of curiosity I would be interested to know why it was returned.
It came with all the brand new accessories like strap, battery, charger, etc. And crumpled up warranty and papers. In a Nikon Refurb box.
One of my quick test pics (one of the first 10 pics I fired off below). I wanted to test high ISO so I shot at 6400 ISO on purpose. a quick pic of our dog on the 85mm f/1.8 lens. I shot in RAW and saved it from Photoshop Camera Raw in JPG without any editing at all. I know the composition sucks. Just impressed with the ISO, even better than the D810 which is what I am after (for bands, concerts, low-light weddings and events).
Putting it through it's paces so time will tell. I also have a D810 and this is smaller and lighter. I appreciate all the comments and advice on this board. Everyone have a nice weekend!

Send it back, not correct.I just got my refurbished D750 from this buydig deal.
There is something wired about it. The camera does not have the strap rings that could connect to the neck strap.
The shutter count is around 4000. Battery age is 1.
Anyone else experience that refurbished does not have strap rings?
Thanks guys. I will return it to Buydig.Strange Stan, mine came with the rings that I just received yesterday from Adorama. They must of reconditioned it or whatever they do and took them off, and forgot to put them back?
ALL refurbs purchased from Adorama, are factory refurbished, by the manufacturer!I think this is a good policy for this reason:If you do buy refurbished, I'd go with a known vendor like Adorama (same price)

1) refurbished does not automatically mean FACTORY refurbished. I didn't read enough of the link to say whether this is the case or not, but it is possible to find cameras that have been refurbished by other sources.
2) I've read posts where FACTORY refurbs have issues. It occurs to me that sometimes they may not be able to reproduce the problem and just put the thing up for sale without having done anything to it.
I like to purchase from large know reputable vendors with generous return policies.
