went to Smithsonians Nature museum today - they have nature pics - winners of the 2016 Nature Best Photography awards - those look phenomenal with what they called "floating frame" Plexiglass mounting system. They wouldnt sell them at the museum, and I assume I can get them from the authors, but can someone share where do they buy similar products - bigger size photos with acrylic frame?

You can set up an account there and order your own. :)

While those pictures are nice I would really like to get some of the winning pictures that displayed at Smithsonian - and find it almost impossible to find a site where that could be easily accomplished. I guess there is no Amazon for the photograph purchases (

Ah gotcha. You would need to find the artist and go from there..

I found the website info, but what is the name of the company you get the acrylic prints from? I guess it is all connected to the website company you use.

Not sure what U meant. I dont have a company, nor did I ever bought such a big pictures prints - some of them probably 3'x4'.

And the website for the winners of that reward is http://www.naturesbestphotographyafrica.com/2016-winners/.

Some of those pics have photographers sites listed, most dont.

So to clarify the post - there are 2 issues here - how to find high quality nature pics, and where to order such a big prints on acrylic frame? Smithsonians people call it "special floating frame plexiglass mounting system"?

Your website had your photos on acrylic for sale. I just wondered the name the the company that your website uses to print. Also on a different note.... do you do well selling prints from your website?

Sorry if I was confusing...

Fine Art America. It is a print on demand service that uses various print fulfilment centres. Like anything it is not easy you have to do your own work advertising as there are millions of artists there. I sell a fair amount to local buyers and occasionally to people randomly worldwide. As for the smithsonian artists I have no idea. You would have to contact the artist directly (possibly through the smithsonian?)
