Here is my attempt at posting my first picture. This is Ms. Beasly our 4 year old Jack Russell. She not only chases flashlights but chases and snaps at water. One problem with the water though....... She can't swim. Knowing that she can barely keep above the water she still manages the 3 foot vertacle jump into the pool just so she can snap at her own water splashes as she is sinking.

Hmm, looks awfully small. Just I have to work at this :-)

The original is 3024x2016 1.09 MB Hmmmmm I shot in JPG maybe that is why it is so small?

Are most the photos posted on here done in Raw form?

Hi !

Make sure you choose Large at the bottom of your photo in Pbase then copy and paste. It only will paste the size your viewing it in on Pbase.

Nice Capture !

The head of the dog is a little too dark, I think, probably because of the so light water surrounding it.

Thanks for sharing,
Dioni

Laser pens are great. OUr dog LOVES them. Though she goes through a lot of them. See she will find them (along with flashlights) I think she just knows the smell or something. Anyhow, she will find them, carry to your feet step back about 2 feet lay down and stare for hours. If no one is around she will chew and chew on the pen or flashlight in hopes of turning it on herself (which she has managed to do on occasion). We found out about her love for lights by mistake. A few years back we were driving to Scotty's Castle in Death Valley (daughter had a 4th grade report on the place). The kids are in the back seat playing gameboys and the refections are bouncing off the ceiling in the van. Took us awhile to figure out why on earth our dog is literally flying over seats in the van. She was even doing backflips. Now if Brian sits down on the floor working on a computer or something the dog is right by his side knowing that at some point a flashlight will be pulled out :-)

It's not digital, actually it was one of the first pictures I took with my first SLR about 2 years ago. My brother is holding the light and the dog is doing what she loves to do :-) We have since moved, but she use to touch that ceiling. Now if I was using digital then I would have had the shot, but I was so paranoid about wasting film :-)

My cats are more technical, they catch laser pen dots :))

Wendy,

that's a funny story. I didn't know that dogs like to play with (laser)light.

I don't know is my cats realise where the dot comes from. Although thy know the clicking sound of the switch. Even when thy are asleep (what thy mostly do) thy jump up and start looking for the dot.

When I turn the spot in circles fast they really become disorientated when thy run after it and they can't walk straight anymore. Verry funny. (sorry for the other catlovers, sometimes I'm bad)

About the pics, you can see the panic in her eyes. The spashing wather is very nice. I don't think it's to dark. The white at her nose is OK.

The second one is very original. I never have seen a dog flying with other birds ;)) What do you feed her? ;)

Sorry for my english, I can imagine that it sounds funny...

But you know where I come from: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1020&message=5850706

Edwin
