So I bought a FD 400mm 4.5 SSC lens and took it for its first decent hit out. It was raining and dark, but the birds didn't mind too much!

Yes, OOF :/ It's hard to get right sometimes, but the EM-1 magnify helps alot!

You can keep the coffee infused cheese. Less is more! Good set.
 
I dunno, I rather like this.
 
That is very atmospheric, quite lovely.

Cool. Probably not a bird photographers choice but I rather like the 4th.

I like the first best. That's the less wide view... Was there some discussion of wide v. less wide for landscapes recently...?

A nice scene and I think you managed the lighting here through processing to give it a better look. This does not view well for me at a small size but looks much better at full resolution. I don't recall what the Midnight preset has for adjustments but I use he Low Key quite a bit but usually reduce the glow and effect strength considerably and get effects I like.
