First Real IR (Tracy Arm Alaska)

Very nice. I just posted my second IR photo here. I started about a week ago. It is so much fun, I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.

wow, absolutely outstanding !

did you take it in natural light (not IR) just as a comparison? I would love to see it in regular color as well....the fog and clouds look incredible.
Here is one of my first IR taken last week.

I just ordered an R72 Filter - can't wait to try it out...

Did you use an ND filter or just the 87C?

Robert,

Very little sunshine on my trip to Alaska. This was at a time when the sun did pop thru the clouds. I used an ND 4 with the 87c.

Daniella,

No I did not take a natural light picture of this shot, I was on a cruse ship but I did take one a little upsteam of this shot.

Not as dramatic.
Thanks,

David

Nice shot... I've been meanting to get the stuff needed for IR, but I have yet to do so. Hope you enjoyed your Alaska cruise... you didn't happen to stop by the Discovery Center in Ketchikan, did you? I live in Ketchikan, though I haven't ever been to Tracy Arm. I've seen remarkably little of Alaska, considering I've lived here all of my 26 years (on Sunday).
