A99ii/A77ii Camera Size

The Camera Size website now includes the A99ii for you comparison pleasure. The A99ii is slightly more blocky with higher shoulders no doubt to fit the good stuff inside.

I see the evf proximity sensor is now on top. Should be compatible with the Hoodman eyecup you mentioned a few months back.
 
That is a great post, thanks for sharing. Did not realize how different these two cameras actually are.

Not much difference for sure.
 
Almost the same size. That's really good news though, because A77 I and II have a really nice and easy-to-handel size, with a good grip and many control bottoms .

I bet Sony engineers have learned a lot about squeezing stuff into small cameras when they worked with those tiny E-mount bodies.

Yup on all that. I love the size and feel of the A77ii. Part of why I was willing, sight unseen, and pictures unprocessed, to lay down the large sum of $ for the A99ii. Will not be dining out much in the coming year though :-D .
