Hi guys,

Bought the blackstone version, but my 5D3 do not recognized it. With the 6D it produces a noise/different shutter sound when changing the aperture.

Already talked to foto-tip to send it back. Anyone else with the same problem?

Thanks

Solution
Irix have confirmed:

Hello Hugo, thank you for sending us these clips. This situation is abnormal and must be checked by our repair service. We are already working on a solution to this problem. Very sorry for this inconvenience. We will do our best to solve this problem as soon as possible, by repair or replacement with a new fully functional copy.

And it's a general problem, because i have spoken with others photographers and they have the the same problem, diaphragm delay.
Indeed. that sounds as a problem. I tested a Nikon sample also 11mm, both worked ok

When they say "general problem" does that mean for all different mounts? Or it is just the Canon mount that got the bad fortune?

They not confirm it as a general problem, but i assume it is, since several photographers are reporting the same problem.

Only canon, because it's digital, Nikon version don't suffer from this problem.

Ok got it. Sorry I mistakenly thought the comment about "general problem" was from Irix. Thank you for clarifying.

I have 5dmk3 and Irix 2.4 15mm Firefly. It causes delayed shutter (1/2000 is like 1/10) on all apertures but 2.4. So, only on 2.4 it works properly. Also, it causes off camera flash to be useless (probablly because of the problem it causes to shutter).
Tried to contact Irix company, but no response from them. I will return it, if they don't contact me and come up with solution.

I just purchased this lens for a Canon 6D and it should arrive any day now. I will be using it 95% of the time for night time long exposures (20-30" avg). My question is: Will this shutter lag issue make a difference with long exposures? Is this primarily an issue with general photography? I'm a little confused. Thanks!

You could already receive an upgraded version. If you receive a lens with the delay just send it back and ask for a new one.
