Laptop & Monitor for 4k editing

If you are lucky enough to not be stuck in one place, a laptop is necessary. A "Box" does not work.

And, in my reality, I do "4K stuff" with Premier Elements. It works fine. If it helps, I can provide some links to 4K output on Vimeo where you can download the 4K version.

There are several laptops coming out right now that have the same 1000 series nvidia gpu as desktops. If I was looking to do 4k video editing, I'd definitely be going in that direction.

I edit 4k stuff on my Smartphones, doesn't meant it is ideal. Yeah if you need portability, sure a laptop is the way to go for sure. I have just found that any Laptop that has the horsepower to edit well the battery life on them is 4 hours or less. So I find that solution too stressful for my work flow.

And I only have one eye, and am 69 years old. So a laptop screen is WAY to small for me to edit on. YMMV.
