Welcome all to the sOw’s eAR - the Street Photographer’s Lounge where tomorrow is always a new day.

The budget has not allowed for much I’m afraid but at least there is THE JUKE BOX in the corner.

Pull up that cozy chair, make sure to have your favourite beverage or ale at hand and sip your way through the lively conversation.

The fire in the hearth is warm and so are the hearts, this is a place for friends, so be a friend and leave your guns and hat-pins at the door.

About me (its all about me apparently)

My name is Ant …it really is

I love Street Photography, I am made giddy by it and sometimes when I say things I might make you giddy too. (grin)

Enjoy yourself

Post a photo.

Ant.

This is processed right to the edge of the blacks, that was the first thing that appealed me, the range of grayscales toward the black. There is a touch of narcissus and the pool about it.
thank you, when i do b/w i do where possible work the histogram to get best tonal range. In this case the raw file out of the camera was pretty good, so there wasn't a lot of pushing and pulling needed

and finally a classical allusion I can agree with....a first for me:-)

Photos look better in Original Size
Shot in downtown Manhattan, mostly
I like these Frank. Curious what they look like in color? Just wondering if that would enhance the "art" and "culture."

Nice work Sam. I wonder what she's thinking...impossible to tell, but for me that's what makes this an exceptional image.
Thanks, Steve. I wonder as well...

As you know, water is a vital and precious recourse that must be rationed and monitored at all times.

On Earth One, un-processed water was abundant in the wild, or non residential communes. First Humans used to make a ritual pilgrimage to these masses of water, known as 'Oceans.' It is believed they would lie prostrate around it or emerge themselves in it. It is believed this was a form of worship, and much of what we have learned of our ancestors and their belief systems would suggest this. Some historians believe it was also possibly a form of recreation; though this is a controversial speculation.
