This a frame from a 4K video on my ZS-100. Its the first concert I took this camera too.

So I need advice on what settings would help to prevent the singer from being so washed out? This was on the auto settings. If I zoom into the singers face the camera will adjust, but I don't want to be that zoomed in on a concert video. Would ajusting the Exposure Compensation settings fix this? Thank you for any advice.

Yes exposure compensation would fix this. The metering system averages the whole image and with that much black in the background one needs to help it a bit.

Thank you, the next night I had another concert. I adjusted the exposure compensation down to -2/3 and got better results. Now my problem is staying in focusing. See the video below, the I lose focus why to much. Maybe I need to se AF lock or hold? I had that off because I thought with the singer moving around I would lose focus, maybe that backfired on me?

I can say that the Zs-100 has recorded VERY GOOD concert audio so fair. Not over blown, even in the 4th row.

Recorded in 3840x2160, 29.97, 48000Hz, Handheld recording

I appreciate any comments on the above.
