Hey I got published, Local paper anyway

Hi Everyone,

I got a shot in our local paper of an 18 WHeeler that lost its load on a Portland city street. Don't know what they will pay me, technically I don't care. Getting the shot in it is the real prize.

Check out the Misc section of my link below for a larger image of the truck.

I also captured roughly a shot per second as they were righting the truck. When you flip through them in a viewer its like watching a very high rez movie. I dont have those posted yet.

Did I forget to say "I LOVE MY 10D". Canon Rocks, Yeah Baby Yeah.

If you got into the paper itself, you'll likely get some small amount, like $15 or $25 but if it's just on the web site that's often run by a different group and you probably wouldn't see anything. I understand you don't care, as the recognition is the reward, but just thought you'd like to know.

Hi Lecter,

Yes it is in print inside front cover of the local section. But its printed BBBBIIIGGG. 4x6 at least.

I called them to see if they wanted the shots, the staff photographer I spoke ith said they would send me a check. Didn't say how much, I didn't really care.

Hi Paul,

I actually do keep my 10D with most of the time even before getting this shot. I really like taking pictures so when ever I see anything that catches my eye I shoot it. I have a directory for just about every day since I got my 10D. Some days there is only a couple other days there may be 200 shots. It all depend on the day. Obiviusly I get more on the weekends. I don't leave the camera in the car too often and definitely not in heat. It is insured so I' not completely crazy, I bought a separate rider on my home owners policy specifically for photography gear.

What is really cool is to see how much my images have improved from my early shots. Technically the stuff at my PBase account currently, aside from the truck, is looking pretty bad to me these days.

Just so everybody stays honest you should bill the paper and make sure you get paid.
