Hi all.

If I want to change the power of my remote Speedlite the quickest way I've found so far is to set up "External Speedlite Control" in my 'Favourites' menu. But it's still fiddly; I have to select that menu option, then scroll to Flash Function Settings, select it, then navigate to the power settings.

Is there an easier way of putting the flash power somewhere like on a quick menu option??

Set the SET-Button (custom controls) to "Flash function settings" et voilà:-D
There is no quicker way to access when the flash is attached (and turned on).

Turn on you camera and set it to manual ore AV.

Press the M-Fn button and use the large wheel on the back to set the flash power and take the picture.

See page 262
Thanks for that - though I'm struggling.

I've done as you suggest; camera on Av, but as soon as I press M-Fn it fires the flash. If I hold the button in nothing happens when I turn the control wheel at the back of the camera.

Any idea what's up?

Thanks, I've done that method, and it seems to work well!

I love little 'tricks' like this - do you know if there's a list of really useful stuff like this??

I think remapping my Set button is the solution I'll use, the grey card thing doesn't work well out in the field away from controlled conditions
