Nice shots Mark,

I do have a couple questions though ...

- What was the goal in using HDR on that 2nd shot?

- Did you strip the EXIF data on purpose?

Sweet shots of my backyard

Next time try to go underneath the bridge to the left side and shoot up

Better yet, shoot at twilight after the sun's down and when the city lights are on

Summer could be windy but the fog can yield some great shots

Cheers ;-)

Hi Randy,

Mainly I was practicing with the camera to see what it would do. The shot didn't really require HDR, but I think it results in a less noise. I like the bracketing implementation for the G85X considering the size of the camera body.

Also, I didn't remove the EXIF data purposefully, either Lr or CS6 did that. I can look it up this evening if you have a question about it.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

The other side of the bridge was my preferred location, but I couldn't get to it. It seem like the only way to reach that location (at least at the moment) is by sea. Do you know another way to get to the south side?

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

Just curious, really. As for the EXIF data, something in my process has been stripping just the lens data from my shots and I was fishing for a lead. :)

Read this thread

Also to get there take the Yerba Buena exit , go towards the island, then go uphill at first right; midway uphill there's a parking amidst the barracks facing the bridge, park there and hike down through the fence, down to under the left of the bridge, voila

Try to get there before dark for it could be treacherous

One the way back make sure to bring a torch light

Here's a good map from above

Happy and safe shooting

Why would you go to the trouble of uploading a 5-shot panorama if you're going to upload a 0.1 megapixel version of it?

Hi Boss,

If you go to my galleries you can see a higher res version of the photo.

Thanks,

Mark
My mistake. It is 0.6 megapixels (in the gallery).
Clearly you are missing the big picture.

Thanks. My computer is having difficulty opening galleries.

Nice picture. Thanks for sharing. I'm curious which lens did you use? How did you include such a light source as above without lens flare (ghost)?

Hi -- thanks for the compliment. The lens was the Olympus 45 mm F1.8. I used t shoot Oly, but I like the Pany body.
