This guy insisted on B&W (I think the colour version looks better). I have printed this to 20x16 and it loses no quality. I was a bit concerned when I sold my 10D that I could not get the same quality at large sizes but now I have seen the light ! I love the 1D. Oh and another thing, there is absolutely no question that you have more latitude with the 1D. I have had no blown out highlights at all (unlike my 10D) but I guess that could have been me !

Mine looks great at 10x15, but it starts to break apart at 12x18. I didn't do any step interpolation, so I am wondering what do you do for your 20x16.

Nice shot, BTW...

Nice portrait Garry. Maybe PS out that light reflection on his hat.

You'd probably get more comments if it were a smaller file size. Even on my T1 connection, it was slow to load.

My family is really boring. They have a coffee table book called 'Pictures We Took Just to Use Up the Rest of the Film.'

nice photo but how do you cope with the ID not reproducing purple giving blue instead where as my 10D does a great job I need some tone curve to upload to correct this or am I the only one that have a 1D that drops purple?

My 1D renders purple subjects (flowers, clothes, bags, etc.) just fine. Is your monitor properly calibrated?

I always shoot a white card with the same settings and lighting that I am using in a session. It really helps ... it makes the jpegs perfect, and is a good start to get the RAW files converted properly. Color managment is much better than with my D60 ... which I sold for that reason (as well as the lame AF.)

these days it seems. Ya gotta go with the flow. And yes indeed the 1D has more DR than any other camera but it's sibling S version. Comes in handy from time to time. Hey......you get what you pay for....now if we could convince some others of that.... ;-)
