I just pruchased a Nikon D100. Given that investment, I now need to get a good printer. I can pay about $300 and I'd like to have one printer to do photos and general text printing (if possible). I would like to make my own prints rather than going to a processing lab.

I would appreciate any advice and suggestions as to which printer(s) will do the job with good quality.

Thank you.

Hi Bob -

For what it's worth, I recently picked up the HP 5650. I'm pleased with the photo quality so far, and it's good for general printing as well. and at $150US, you'll have enough scratch left over to pick up an extra memory card :D

Cliff,

How does the Canon i950 do with text printing (i.e. letters, reports, etc.) ?
