Hi All,

I thought I'd share some early pics of the K1 mostly with the 100mm F2.8 Macro.

I've had the K1 for a day, only shot a couple of hundred so far but am really impressed with it. It's taken a while to get used to the layout from Sony and it's growing on me every minute I use it.

I'll be adding pics every week if anyone is interested. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy shooting!

Chris , fantastisc shoots , thank you.

K-1 is very good, indeed.

Please , what ISO you use ?

Regards, Valeriu

Hi Valeriu,

Thank you for looking.

!00 to 400 ISO at the moment. I never really went higher with my Nex 7 as it started getting really noisy and I love detail and hate colored noise. I will explore higher ISO as the days / weeks move on. It's really clean at 400.

Chris , I'm sure you'll come up with new amazing shots, and the next time.

Maybe some 3200 and 6400 ISO , flower, birds, any, to show us how performing is K-1.

I was very impressed by your post.

Thanks again, Valeriu

Thank You Valeriu,

I'll see if I can shoot some higher ISO shots over the weekend and post.

Kind regards,

Chris

Nice shooting Chris.

I've added some more shots, mainly at ISO 400 or below as I don't really shoot much above. I will though post some higher ISO when I get chance.

Early impressions are that the images are stunning straight out of camera, they require very little pp. With it being 36mpix you do need to concentrate on your photographic technique a lot more or it will show you up.

The camera itself is solid throughout, the build quality reminds me a little of my old Nikon F4.

All the best,

Chris

Very nice! The detail at 100% is impressive. Looking at the jeans at 100% I could seed threads and dust down inside the button connectors. Looking at the thread in the seams of the jeans, and can see the threads that make up the thread.

Really nice. Now I just have to figure out how I can afford it. LOL. My ideal landscape camera.

Hi,

Not something I do very often but some may be interested how the K1 performs at higher ISO. I have posted a further 3 shots taken this morning at ISO 3200. These are taken in high quality JPEG with default settings.

Feel free to download and pixel peep.

Kind regards,

Chris

Nice. Thanks for taking those and sharing. I shoot very little High ISO, but nice to see what the camera can do. Very usable. Seems to be almost completely luminance noise with little or no chromatic noise. Shows the same very fine film like grain pattern I've seen in other K1 shots. Cleans up very easily even with the JPEG. Frankly, unless you pixel peep, it is hardly noticeable at all at 3200. Not something that would be important to me normally, but nice to know the capability is there if needed for that unusual night or indoors shot.
