Agree

We have a winner Valeriu.

BTW I received a call today that the camera arrived at the warehouse and may be it will at the store next week.

The price here is 30% less than d810.

It is 6900dhs whereas d810 is 11000 dhs.

Dear Zakaria, I am glad for you , and I wait first your impressions.

You have telelens Pentax 150-450mm ?

No I don't have. I have only f*300 though no birds in desert to shoot!!lol

I recommend you to look for d500 and nikkor 200-500 a very suitable gear for your photography style.

K1 is fantastic machine but I would not consider it for birding or BIF.

K1 is the new King of landscape and still life machine!

I look to D500, but IQ is bad .

Look here on comments :

K-1 it is hope. ;-)

D810 ISO6400, Left side

K1 ISO6400, Right side

To my eyes, fine details have been preserved better in the D810.

From this comparison it looks like the D810 is a tad sharper than the K-1. It is close. I look forward to raw comparisons on Dpreview. This will in no way deter me from getting the K-1.

Agreed. The d810 shots look better. But where is the information on which lenses were used? That is, I wonder if this is a lens issue and not a camera issue. Did they use the same lens between each camera body? same settings? AF micro-adjusted?

There is so much that could cause the differences that I wouldn't really consider them.. The K-1 will still be fantastic.

Right side is a smudgy mess compared to left -- as if it is a solid red piece of fabric (which its not there is a pattern in it). That is, there is no detail retained in the middle red fabric and the one below is off color and mushy detail either. NR ate the detail.

But this was the same issue with previous Pentax bodies.. I don't think it will be a huge issue. And, for those of us anti-noise, won't be going above ISO 3200 anyways if I can help it.

Dan, personally, my it seems D810 lose details at high ISO .

Look at 6400 .

Yes , one part of red is better on D810 , but look in left side of photo , where is green, blue, purple, cream colors , and in my eyes is better on K-1.

I feel on the K-1 (right) - patterns on the red fabric are not visible, loss of details .. it appears as a solid color fabric. The pink has lot more details.
I have observed this uniform across all Pentax models at high ISO in this Imag-Res test. I still went ahead and bought my K5II at that time, no problems for me till date with red color details!

There has to be some flaw in the testing.. All real life images from K-1 still show extreme details in red color. Maybe it is just this particular color and texture combo.

Whether or not it is the lens, or focusing, I felt the sharpness of the edges was also better in the 810 at 100- 3200 ISO. It could be due to greater contrast in the processing. I intend to utilize pixel shift enhancement as often as is practical on important images.

This only means one thing. Competition IS GOOD. It looks like Ricoh really want people's business and wants to sell this camera.

Having said that, expect Nikon to come out with the D750 replacement, which might blow the K1 out of the water.

I mean, APS-C sensors alone have been boosted recently, and next it will be time for the FF sensors to get an updated copper wiring sensor with amazing higher capabilities. I mean, you know competition is never going to stop, and I wouldn't be surprised if other manufacturers come out with more crazy attractive stuff, like a FF with a bunch of AF points. Sony is also supposed to come up with a revised FF.

Anyway, at least for now, the K1 is it. Great camera indeed.

Batdude , many are dissatisfied with the image quality D500.

Please read comments :

Maybe a new FF Nikon , in the future make a sensor better , but I feel it will be difficult new qualitative leap, very soon.
