nice to see DPP 4 is now tuned for my 1ds 3. Shame I still have to load another programme for my old 1d mk1

Canon do seem to be progressively back-filling DPP 4 to cope with files from older cameras. I hope they will complete this process so that it works with all CR2 files, whatever their source.
 
What I like is you don't have to restart the computer when you update. That was long overdue.

Yes indeed, and I have some vague memory that Canon provided software to convert these to (a) CR2 format that DPP3 can handle. Camera bodies may become obsolete, but the images taken with them do not, and I think Canon should recognise their obligations in that regard.

Without denigrating users of other Canon cameras, the 1d, 1ds, and 5 range of cameras, should be a priority for being capable of using DPP 4 for the processing of images.
