I will start by saying I brought this camera in 2010 and only used a few times. Now that I want to get more in depth with photography I will soon upgrade to a more professional camera. With that being said the Nikon D5000 still takes crips and vibrant photos and can still get the job done with a better lens. The video mode in 720p isn't so great but if your jus looking for some great family photos and something to start off with this camera still has it.
