Hi gents,

I'm looking to buy this lens for a Nikon D750 and a friend told me to be careful because there are 2 models: A007 and A007N which the first one is made for DX and the second for FX sensor.

I feel confused, somebody know anything about it and maybe can clear my mind?

Thank you!

This is a full frame lens, no DX only model.

So why there are two model names (A007 and A007N)?

Thanks for the answer :)

Only one model on Tamron's webpage.

It is the "mount" designation - E is Canon, N is Nikon, S is Sony

Google is your friend .......

Haha I have a very good relationship with Google, I'm asking here because indeed there are models with the final letter (A007C, A007E, A007F) and there also exist a model without any letter at the end (A007) which is driving me crazy because someone told me that is not the same as A007N.

Anyway I sent an email to Tamron, I will post here their answer.

When in doubt I use the B&H Photo site. Go to lenses for the system and use the filtering tick boxes to drill down everything available or just pick by lens mount, brand (s), FF or APS, etc.

OR

go to the camera you have and click the accessories tab and you get results that way.

You can always go to the Tamron or 3rd party site and look at everything there to be sure.

Last, always buy where you can make a return it needed.

I bought both the Sigma Art 50 mm and Nikon 58 mm and returned the Sigma Art. Only so much you can read. Got to test it first hand based on your style of shooting.

A007 is the type of lens... Of which those with the designation C N or whatever is just the fitting on that type.

Maybe..:-)

Well - I'm sitting looking at the lens - to make ÿou calm.

The lens name is A007 - printed on the lens.

When you order the lens (go on do it - it's as brilliant lens) - you order A007N to be sure, you get the right mount - that's all.

(It's just the same for my other Tamron's :-) )

It will.

It's the only model of the 24-70mm Tamron.

Di in tamron means full frame like DG in sigma.
