Hello Shirley,

Family moments such as this are among my favorite to create!

You've done a nice job over all, but I would just caution about using that f1.8 aperture when you are so close to the subject. The depth of field becomes razor thin at that distance, resulting in parts of your subject (in this case, his hand and ice cream) being out of focus.

Otherwise, a nice shot!

I'd say very happy!

Not sure what it is about ice cream but people of all ages have that same look on their face when enjoying the smooth cold tasty creamy stuff.

Enough of this going out to get myself a cone of Rocky Road.

Thanks very much for your comment, I am a fresh hand in photography, so, aperture, shutter speed, exposure are a little difficult for me to control, I think I need more practice and get more comments like yours, then I will get improved soon, thanks again!

I don't mind the blurred hand and ice cream as much as the distracting people behind. If it was a more empty it would have had more impact for me
