I have the D600 for some time and been thinking to update my body much like my lens or two

Does the D610 make sense or would you go D750 mostly for landscape and macro

If you've not got the oil spot problem the D610 makes little sense.

As the other poster said, the D610 makes little sense for an upgrade. I don't know that I would even bother with the D750.

What are you shooting that the D600 doesn't do it for you? For landscapes and macro I can't see the D750 being a worthwhile upgrade from a D600 at this time. I'd wait and see what the fall brings in terms of new cameras.

For focus speed(action, wildlife), higher FPS and sensitivity (in lower light) yes. But if you want more pixels /resolution D810 would make more sense. I love my D750 for overall shooting (especially birding, and events). I use the D800E for Landscapes....

Make sure you have the right lenses to go with them to get the image upgrade you are looking for.....

I agree with the others the 610/750 would be a total waste of money for what you use it for . Buy good glass instead.

600/610 only real difference is the half frame per second burst rate.

6XX/750 better focusing, Wifi, articulating screen

I have the 610 because at the time the 750 was more than I could spend. for my next upgrade I'll skip the 7XX series and go into an 810.

I have wrestled with this question.

I kept the D600. There are insignificant differences in the image capture electronics that I can see in published tests between the D600/610/750. I see the D610 bearing the same relationship to the D750 as the D3300 does to the D5300.

In truth it is nearly impossible to shoot video in daylight without an articulating screen, for me. so if that is important to you . . .

Unless the camera dies I find it difficult to even want to upgrade, despite the fabulous image quality of full frame, until Nikon finds a way to shed the excess mass and poundage from its mastodon like full frame cameras, preferably without having to go EVF.

For landscapes, moving from a D600 to a D610 or D750 is a complete waste of money. Moving to a 2nd hand D800 might offer some advantages (not only in MP) but even so, minimal.

Get yourself a nice 16-35 instead if you havent got it yet.

Better yet get the Legendary 14-24mm (got mine used ) - best lens I have (especially for landscape) and the D800e- It got me published by National Geographic - Picture of the day Your Shot January 18th 2016:http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photo-of-the-day/bryce-canyon-path/

Ya know that 14-24 is on my bucket list was between that and the 16-35. Right now can't justify it just yet not doing that much consistent landscape to warrant it.

However, if I a used one came my way in good shape perhaps then...

Get the Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8, come extremely close in focal length and image quality to the 14-24mm, and close to the price of the 16-35mm. Seems like a no-brainer if you don't mind the weight and limited filter use due to bulbous front.

Like others have said, for landscapes and macro there's no point in upgrading to a D610 or D750. A D810? Maybe, for the increased resolution.

The AF on the D600 is plenty sufficient for macro and landscapes, and the D610 and D750 have the same size and quality sensor as your D600. Unless you plan to shoot sports or low light action, it wouldn't be worth the extra money.

For landscape and macro, get either a D800E or a D810. You won't regret,

Per the DPR review on the D610, it is generally not worth upgrading from the D600 to D610.

So, go for either a D750 or D810. (or used D800)
