There may be some post processing work to enhance the contrast and color.

But you set the same enhancement in camera these days.
 
This looks like a 35mm 1.4 lens.

It can't be a longer focal length as there isn't that much compression and it has a very "3d" look to it.

I can get this same look using my Sigma 35mm ART and shooting at f1.4. I just need to get REALLY tight on someone.

A common misconception. But no, FL has minimal effect on dof for a given subject size in the image. What matters are aperture and subject distance. The bulbous nose - as well as the very short dof - says that this was taken with a wide angle. A 35mm is a good guess, but depending on what the guy looked like to start with it could have been a fast 28.
