A6300 overheating issues?

This A6300 has been listed as sold out or backordered on all major retail sites. How is that possible for a fatally flawed camera to be actually sold out. The only conclusion you can draw is Sony is pulling the cameras back due to this thread or early reviews of the camera becoming an oven. All signs point to this camera being a disaster.

If it gets too hot, its not good is it. Simple as that.

All the best Kambic.

Yes it is as simple as that. FYI i don't go by Kambic, i go by Max Iso. I chose this name (for the last time now) so when people like you try and troll, you can call me by the original name i started with, MaxIso. That's the name your crew used to use when they tried to troll in the past. Now that it's my actual screen name again, it's not good enough. Go figure.

So by the looks of it, Kambic got banned and you took up yet another name and ....... I'm the troll ;-)

Anyway, yeah agreed, just don'y buy that Sony or any Sony for that matter and preferably not m4/3 either. That would suit me just fine.

The last thing you want is a hot camera, you could drop it because of the heat it gives out. It sure looks hot though ;-)

We already knew who this was. Keep up!

Check the camera store review. They said that it doesnt overheat.
T camera store referred to Max Yuriev to ask about overheating. Then in the video i linked, the Northrups inform us that Max tested the camera indoors, likely in a relatively cool environment. Did you even watch the Northrup's review?

I may have misinterpreted the Northrup's review, but the only situation I observed in the review in which they noted that the A6300 overheated was when shooting for extended periods outdoors, in moderately hot weather, under bright sun, and in this instance when exercising the burst shooting capabilities of the A6300. In the indoor video shoots, I think that they explicitly said that the A6300 did NOT overheat
I believe he specifically said it was 79 degrees, which is not all that hot. I have used many other cameras (including smaller ML) for extended periods and never had them overheat shooting photos. I used my GX7 for hours at a time in 90+ degree weather on the beach in FL, in direct sun, no problems.

Yes it didn't overheat indoors but that was my sticking point. I don't want to have to worry about overheating just bc i step into the sun. A camera for Dracula perhaps?
This comports with my conclusion that what the A6300 was suffering from in the outdoor stills situation was insolation overheating primarily. Continuous 4K video will generate more heat than periodic bursts of stills. Remember that the A6300 has a metal body, which has more heat capacity than a plastic body camera, and therefore can radiate insolated heat onto the sensor for a long time. Lobster in a hot crab pot effect.
I won't argue the engineering points, im no engineer. I was just disappointed as it seemed it could make an ok light travel body or main video body, but if it can overheat with just stills, video is out of the question. Which makes a purchase pointless for me. I will have to settle for a DL24-500 or the like.

Did you even watch the Northrups review? Or you are cherry picking issues to fit your agenda?

"Oh noes, the camera overheats at 4k under on the Sahara, better not upgrade and continue using my trusty one that outputs 720p".

Do whatever you want buddy... Just don't expect people to jump on your bandwagon to diss something that doesn't exist.

I am out.

No need for hyperbole. Tony said it got the overheating icon when just shooting photos, and only in 79 degree weather. That's considered the Sahara? Did you even watch the video? Sounds like you are taking this all too personally, time to emotionally unhook "buddy".
