Peter,

Your collage is composed of many nice shots, all very pleasantly-rendered. I am sure the bride and groom will enjoy it very much.

As for the poster who said $99 is a lot of money for actions "you can make yourself", well that might be in line with his skill set, but not the skill set of others. I think the action would be worth $99 if it quickly and easily yields this type of result with minimal effort on the part of the photographer. And "a lot of money?" What's $99 to a wedding professional or even a dedicated hobbyist? I have individual glass filters that cost over $99. Considering $99 as a lot of money for a professional photography tool seems a bit overstated.

If you can't recoup $99 in a wedding or two, you're doing something wrong. If $99 buys a collage-making action and you can use it in five minutes or even a hour's time, it's well, well worth the money.

Yes - nice :)

So how does the action work exactly?

I'm picturing something that would create a new document, bring up the open file dialogue, open the file, bring up the transform command, ask you to scale and rotate the photo, apply a layer style, repeat until done.

Is that what it does or is it more sophisticated?

Brian,

I wouldn't have the first idea on how to make something like this. But if it is so easy to make could you make us an action like this so that others don't have to spend the $99.

BTW...No sarcasm was used in the making of this post.

Peter, will it print 13 x 19? I like the idea and it will make a really good way to present pictures to clients. I would think a must have for wedding photographers. From lookin at the website, it looks easy to use. I don't mind paying for something that someone spent many hours to create. Anything less is simply stealing. Ken (PS I ordered one already, but it didn't say anything about picture size.) The website is:

It starts with open coloage, next you add image via add image button, then you use the wallpaper image button for the back ground image then you add images one bye one you have options to frame in black or white , it frames and dropshawdows and you have options to tilt left or right then save and go to the next image when your dodne hit finised and it resizes and optimzes for the web.

I think that it was desinged for the web, and it opens up the first page at 72dpi, but I up sized and printed it at 8x10 and it looked fine to me
Peter.
once you have the action I am sure you can redesign the image sizing some how.

his is still very basic .. u do everything
manually .. I made one with fixed positions
and number of images .. its only one click ..
99$ yeekk what a joke ..

Have fun

PS: when I find a few minutes I will post it on a server

I use several variations ... just extracted some
of my actions and made a basic one so you see
the 6concept .. you can do your own by making
those basic steps like Fong .. but I dont like that
too slow for me ..

For above action you just take 9 of your S2 images
12MP, open them in Photoshop and play the action ..
New Collage .. it will create a new document A3 in
300 dpi and will load your pics with a white photoframe
as individual layers .. then you can manually place them
or let the cation continue and you get the idea ..
manual fine tuning is necessary .. I have several
versions for different purposes and placements ...
you can also add other frame actions .. I have a couple
of dozend of those .. just replace the subaction ...

Have fun

I still cant believe he is charging $99 for this ...
If I am really mad next week I just do the same as his ...
what a joke .. 730 minutes max to finish that ...
guys dont waste your money ...
Have fun

GMD, I tried your action and it works like a champ. I feel really stupid now for ordering Fong's actions. Thanks and I certainly appreciate it. Ken

It's okay and fast but I like the control that I get with the one I am using I can put the photos where I want them and I can delete the ones that don't look good and I can use a back ground image, I like to have control in this automated world we live in today, But thats just my opinion
