Very nice set. Great color and interesting subjects. Thanks David!!

Warmest regards,

Hi David. I will never get to the Philippines, so I'm living vicariously through your great photos. Thanks for posting.

You did a great job capturing the flavor of the Philippines. I have spent many months scuba diving there. Bruce

Thanks Bruce. Where have you scuba dived? Subic, Palawan? I can barely swim myself. Here is a shot from Subic of some divers pulling back in after a day out exploring sunken ships. (was shot with my Olympus though) It was quite dark out then.

I miss the Philippines. The beautiful beaches, and not to mention the people. Hoping to go there one day soon and not come back.

Can you imagine if you try sitting on the top of a truck here like those two in one of your images. You'd be would be arrested. :-)

I would be interested in knowing the reason you have both the FZ1000 and the FZ300 and when you prefer to use one over the other. I have the FZ1000 but am still considering buying the FZ200 (which I have had my eyes on for a long time) especially because it is selling for a mere $247 at Amazon right now. I love fast shutter speed at high zoom to freeze motion or improve sharpness by reducing the effect of camera shake. I have read a lot of posts which say that FZ200 constant F2.8 does not really offer an advantage over the 1 stop slower max F4 aperture of FZ1000 because the larger sensor of the FZ1000 allows more than one stop higher ISO - but somehow I am a sucker for great cameras when they become dirt-cheap - so still want to pick up the FZ200 - please tell me why I should :-) :-)

Impulse buy. Really though it is a wonderful and fun camera. And my GF seems to love it. For IQ the FZ1000, for just fun, and versatility, the FZ300. If you aren't making big huge prints or shooting for stock it is a great, fun camera. Quite good for documentary photography in reasonable light.
