Fuji X Pro 2 and instax printer connection problem

I've just received my Fuji X Pro 2 and I've tried repeatedly to connect it to my Instax printer. The camera freezes every time I try to print to the Instax. I'm used to printing to to the Instax printer from my Fuji X100T, so I know how it works. Is anyone else having this issue? Should I send the camera back? Any thoughts?

Yes, I am having the same problem on 2 xpro 2 cameras! Fuji support is aware although they cannot replicate the issue on their end.

Same thing happened to me last night. I had to remove the battery from the xpro2 to turn it off. I suspect a firmware update will clear this up.

Just tried to print from my X-Pro 2 to Instax printer.

After pairing I had the same problem with the camera locking up.

Switched the camera off and after a few seconds it did shut down.

I then tried restarting the printer and camera.

This time it did connect but I was informed that the image could not be transmitted.

Realised that I was looking at Slot 1 containing my Raw images.

Changed to Slot 2 containing the jpegs and printing worked as normal.

I don't know if the initial lock up was anything to do with the Slot 1 (Raw) images being selected when I initially tried to print.

Hi

Yes, I have no problems connecting and printing as long as I have my Card Slot 2 (jpegs) selected.

After the initial lock up it has worked flawlessly.

I have tried to use the slot 2, but the XP2 is still freezing up every time when I try to print

same issue here. I tried the steps and was able to print once, but than always freezes.

Sorry to be of no further help.

I really don't understand what is causing the problems.

Used the printer again this morning and everything is still working as normal.

I have seen that other people are having issues connecting via WiFi, again after an initial problem, this now works every time.

Do you have password set on the printer? I have. May be this is the problem?

The printer has only ever been used with the default 1111 password which was entered in the Instax setup menu of the X-Pro 2.

I just tried the 1.01 firmware but the problem still exists. Anyone know to get around the problem?

Same for me, right after the upgrade, i was able to print two, then when I tried again the next day, it just freezes.

This has got to be specific to certain cameras and or certain Instax printers.

Mine worked fine before the firmware upgrade and on checking today it still works without any problems.

My Instax printer has worked every time I've printed - at home... The first time I tried to print in the field, the X-Pro2 locked up and had to remove battery. Never did get it to work. Ended up transferring from camera to iPhone 6. The iPhone printed the image just fine. When I got back home the thing was printing fine again from the camera and has every since... Beats me...

I don't know if everyone is still having problems connecting to Instax?

Today I had the chance to try printing from a second X-Pro 2 body.

This body connects and prints with no problem, same as the original.

Both are using firmware 1.01.

I'm wondering if the problem is connected to the Instax rather than the X-Pro 2 body.

I have the same problem, it simply doesn't connect now. It worked fine for a roll of paper but next day, nothing, it keeps saying it can't connect. I tried switching card 1 /2 JPEG/raw but nothing. Please Fuji make a firmware update !

I downloaded the App Insta share from the App Store, downloaded my photos to my iPad, and printed without problems from it. It doesn't resolve the issue , but at least I can print !

Problem solved ? After I printed from the instashare app one photo, , I tried to print again from my Xpro2 and everything went fine. Somehow, the app reset the printer, and it connects. I hope it helps !
