Hi, I am wanting to improve the focal length of my Canon G12 camera.

I have just brought a Canon TC-DC58N 1.75x Converter. Can anyone tell me which adapter I need in order to be able to use this??

Thank you!

Are you sure it is for a B12. When I Google it I only find references to much older models.

I suppose this is what you're looking for?

Heypresto,

You might try asking on the Canon Powershot forum . . . .

And here's page 39 from the G12 instruction book . . . .

Thank you very much. I have now ordered one from a well known auction site.

Much appreciated.
Remember, the specified teleconverter for a G12 is the 58D while you have a 58N. So it may or may not work.

I have a G12 but I don't have either teleconverter so I can't give you a definitive answer.

Yes. I did read that but I'm not an expert but as long I get the right adapter surely it would work in some way or another?

But there is nor 'right adapter' as far as I can tell. The right adapter is one that is designed to connect a particular w/a lens to a particular camera body. It appears that you can buy an adapter that will fit thread body or another one that fits the lens, but not one that suits what you want at each end.

Just a quick update. I eventually got the correct adapter and purchased the recommended converter (TC-DC58D). Both of them work! So I'm going to give them a try out over the Easter break.

Thank you
